Fitness Orientations
All memberships include the following orientations with a member of our
fitness staff to ensure that you learn proper use of the equipment and get
the most out of your workouts!
COMPLIMENTARY INTRODUCTORY SESSIONS WITH A PERSONAL TRAINER (CIS)
Some members will receive two complimentary sessions with a certified
personal trainer. The complimentary sessions are designed to teach you
appropriate exercise guidelines based on your current fitness level. The
trainer will develop a safe and effective workout that addresses your
individual goals and concerns. PLEASE NOTE: Complimentary Personalized
Training sessions have a 30 day expiration date.
STRENGTH LINE ORIENTATION
This orientation covers use of the strength training circuit. A trainer
will review strength training guidelines, benefits, and proper use of the
machines. The foundations of strength training including: sets,
repetitions, weight, and rest period will be explained to help you
continue the program and progress on your own.
FREE WEIGHT ORIENTATION
This orientation covers use of free weights available on the fitness
floor. A trainer will review strength training guidelines, benefits, and
the fundamentals of free weight training. The foundations of strength
training including: sets, repetitions, weight, and rest period will be
explained to help you continue the program and progress on your own.
CARDIO EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION
During this appointment, a trainer will give you an introduction to the
cardio equipment of your choice as well as discuss cardiovascular training
guidelines and target heart rate.
STRETCHING ORIENTATION
Flexibility is an important component of fitness and stretching may help
prevent injury and decrease muscle soreness after a heavy work out. In
this orientation, a trainer will introduce you to a basic stretching
program and lead you through a routine.
HEALTH AND FITNESS ASSESSMENT
Do you want to track your progress? Our fitness team is available to
evaluate your body composition and circumference measurements and your
cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility levels using standardized
fitness assessments. These assessments provide valuable information about
your current fitness level.
