I have been a member of Healthworks for 8 years and my workout routine has been anything but consistent. There were times that I was a hard core gym rat, but more often than not, I would only swing by the gym for a workout once or twice a week. A few months before the BURN Challenge, I recommitted myself and started working with a trainer, Renee. While Renee made me work hard when we were together, I was unable to push myself when she was not standing over me with that bright smile telling me that I can work harder. Renee helped me realize that my goals would be hard to reach if I did not step up my commitment. Maybe a little healthy competition could help motivate me? Renee was right, the BURN Challenge was just what I needed. I am not sure if it was the small class sizes, energetic trainers, and the timing and availability of the classes offered or the grand prize of a 10 pack of FOCUS training, but I was motivated and committed to reaching my goals. As a result of the BURN Challenge, I feel more energized, my clothes fit better and I lost body fat. I would highly recommend each of you to sign up for the next challenge because I sure will!
The BURN trainers are really helpful and motivating. They push you when you need it! When I first started 5 weeks ago, I could barely jog for ten minutes. Now I'm doing sprints and incline intervals and really enjoying it while getting a great work out.
Best of all, my jeans fit better!
I am really excited about the progress I've made after 5 weeks of BURN sessions. When I started I could barely jog for 10 minutes, and now I'm able to maintain 12-15 minute sessions of interval running (speed and incline) as well as strength training. I love the combination of exercise that BURN offers--the class is never boring! The trainers change up the exercises and cardio challenges and that really helps to keep the motivation going. I already feel stronger and my jeans fit better!
BURN is worth every penny. Before I started I knew I wasn't working out to my full potential. I was bored with my routine work-out and needed something new. BURN is great combination of strength training and cardio intervals. I would never have pushed myself to work this hard without the help of the BURN trainers. Now I'm learning so much about how to jump start my workouts and I have definitely improved my fitness level. I really look forward to my BURN classes because I always feel so good afterwards!
The BURN classes are a great way to challenge yourself. The small class size is perfect because the trainers get to know you and are able to really work with you. Its like personal training but more affordable.
